UML students, faculty, and staff are all eligible for Interlibrary Loan (ILL), but you need to set up a free account first. Users are NOT automatically registered for ILL borrowing.

To create an ILL account, visit the Interlibrary Loan registration page, click “Continue to new user registration” and follow the directions to complete the form.

Once you’ve set up your account, you can use ILL to request books, chapters, articles, CDs and DVDs. It’s difficult to get textbooks through ILL, but you can view alternatives at the Library guide to textbook access. Other universities often place restrictions on lending theses and dissertations through ILL, so we suggest checking the guide to database access for non-UML theses.

For details about making ILL requests, processing times, borrowing periods, and other ILL policies, visit the Interlibrary Loan home page.
