You need a UML library account to borrow physical material (including Course Reserves) and to have items sent between North and South Campus.

UML students, faculty, and staff can create a library account online. Just visit the UML Borrowing Registration website, complete the online form, and click “Submit.” Please allow 24 hours after submitting your registration before logging in or trying to check out library materials.

Alumni need to register for an Alumni ID Card before they can borrow UML library material. Once this is complete, bring your new Alumni Card, along with a valid state ID or driver's license to either Lydon or O’Leary Library to register for Alumni borrowing. Visit our Alumni borrowing FAQ page for more details.

If you need to borrow material that UML does not own, you can create a free Interlibrary Loan (ILL) account by visiting the Interlibrary Loan registration page. Click “Continue to new user registration” and follow the directions to complete the form. Once you’ve set up your ILL account, you can request material from other libraries through the UML online catalog, our Full-Text Finder database search, or directly through your ILL account.
