Q. What format do biology majors use to write papers?

Formatting and citation style requirements will vary by professor. Some might have no preference as long as you are consistent. Others will request a specific style. The best strategy is to ask your professor which style they would prefer. 

 

Once you know which style you need, visit the library's guide to citation styles. Two common styles used for Biology papers are: CSE (Council of Science Editors) and APA (American Psychological Association).
