Limiting to an original research article requires a little work, but many library databases have features that make it easier. In most databases, make sure you're using the advanced search. Then you have two options.
- Try using filters and limiters. Check the left-hand menu for check-boxes that will let you select things like peer reviewed articles or primary research.
- Try using advanced text search. Often the advanced search gives you multiple boxes for separate search terms. In one box, you can try including the terms "original research". You will still have to review the articles yourself to make sure they are actually original research, but this is how they are often labeled to help readers distinguish them from review articles.
