Q. What's happening with the O'Leary move?

This summer, O’Leary Library is undergoing a major transition to better serve our community. By the start of the Fall 2025 semester, all library operations and services will be consolidated to the third and fourth floors of the building. River Hawk Scholars Academy, among other departments, will be relocated to other floors in O’Leary. The Writing Center and Tutoring will be joining the Centers for Learning on the first floor. 

Where Can You Find Offices and Services? 

First floor: 

• The River Hawk Scholars Academy (RHSA) has moved to the first floor. 

• Some public computers are available. 

• CLASS remains on the first floor for tutoring and advising.

• The Writing Center has moved to the first floor.

• A few study rooms remain available on the first floor. 

• Library services have moved up to the fourth floor. 

• Starbucks is open!

• Printers have moved to the third and fourth floors.

Third Floor: 

• The library staff offices are on the third floor.

• We have eight open study rooms, the free bookshelf, a new puzzle spot, lots of comfortable furniture, and more. 

• Four public computers and B&W printers are here for you to use. There's lots of space for you to work on your laptops and other devices. Use My Print Center to print from your laptop of device.

• You can find the books from the Wunsch collection. Please make sure to take those up to the fourth floor to check out. 

Fourth Floor: 

• Library services have moved to the fourth floor. You can pick up and return Interlibrary Loan items. This is where you can check out and return your books and other items. If you don’t want to come up to the fourth floor to return books, consider using our new book drop outside of O’Leary Library. 

• Music and Art books remain on the fourth floor. The music scores are now part of our circulating collection so you can check those out. Foreign language books have been relocated to O’Leary Library as well.  

• The Book Love collection moved up to the fourth floor and we’ve set up a Book Nook so you can sit and read when you need a break. 

• There's B&W and color printing.

• The English Department remains in its office space. 

How Will This Affect You? 

• O’Leary library services and support can be found on the fourth floor.

• Directional signage, updated maps, and staff assistance will help you navigate the changes this fall. 

• If you visit the first floor, there is no library support there. Please go to the fourth floor for help.
